Quentin Monge grew up on a beach in the south of France where he used to draw simple silhouettes in the sand (jealous anyone?). He now lives and works in Paris, where the summer vibes of his childhood by the sea keep inspiring his work. The colourful palette of his illustrations has been featured in campaigns for Airbnb, Barclays, The New York Times, Glamour, and the platform Weapons of Reason, among others. In his second Arrels Barcelona collaboration, Quentin has drawn a gorgeous woman enjoying some of our favourite leisure activities: reading a book, taking in the sun, admiring an ocean view at sundown. The black and white pattern ensures we focus on the details. The pink and blue colour combo distracts the eye, so that the mind can be surprised when taking a closer look.
